Meet Our Llamas and Their Stories

Our llamas each have their own distinct personality that makes them a cherished part of Ellaberry Llama Farm. Get ready to explore the different characters of these lovable creatures through the photos below.

Blue

ALCL Blue Moon was one of our first llamas. He is a great performance llama and is good at almost any obstacle. Blue is used for our farm tours, hikes and events. He is a multi-grand and national champion performance animal.

Image

LUA ShowStopper’s Image is our big, handsome, teddy bear! With his gorgeous silver fiber, he catches everyone’s eye, and once they meet him, their heart too! Image is used here on the farm for hiking, farm tours, and public relations events. He is also a finished ILR Halter and Performance Champion.

Travertine

Nineteen Travertine was the first llama born on our farm. His mother is Barb, Allie’s very first breeding female, and he is our little “in your pocket” kind of guy. He loves to follow you around and is our #1 public relations llama. He visits schools, nursing homes, and all farm events. He is a finished ILR Performance Champion.

Terry

LoMayMo’s Hillbilly Deluxe, better known as Terry or T-Roy, has a one-of-a-kind personality. He is quite stubborn sometimes but never fails to make us smile. Terry likes food a LOT and will be your best friend if you give him a treat. (He will give a nice kiss for a treat too 🙂

Squatch

LoMayMo’s Ironhide gets his name from his bear-like appearance. He is a big-footed, fuzzy goofball that favors kids, the creek on our farm, drinking out of a water bottle, and any amount of attention. A farm tour is never complete without Squatch.

Jellybean

PPR Jellybean is our trekking guide llama. He is Donna’s favorite llama and is the leader of his herd. He is great with little ones and enjoys laying in the sun any chance he gets. Lazy is an understatement with Jellybean most of the time.

Maverick

LoMayMo’s Maverick is one of our younger herd members. He is very drawn to treats…! Mav gets his name from Top Gun.

Stetson

ELF Stetson is a goofy, fiber-covered boy. His body is almost completely covered in wool, from the tips of his ears to his toes! Stetson likes to splash with his feet when he gets in the creek and has lots of energy.

JJ

CWL JJ was Allie’s first llama ever. You can imagine he is a pretty special boy. He is retired from showing but enjoys visits and treats from our visitors. He is a heavy-wool appaloosa.

Goose

SWLC Pharaoh is a sweet, quiet-spirited boy. He is part of our Top Gun trio.

Rooster

Johnson Livestock Grant is one of the most easygoing young llamas we have. He looks like a dairy cow. He is the third member of our Top Gun trio.

Dimer

ELF Droppin’ Dimes is our first baby out of our first herdsire, MSF Slam Dunk. Dimer sports gorgeous, grey, silky fiber and struts his stuff. He is now owned by Baylor Gordon, but still resides on the farm.

Missy D

TVR Party Like Miss Daisy is Brylee’s show llama. She has the cutest speckled nose and has the attitude to fit her name!

Sassy

ALCL Razzle Dazzle Sassafrass is such a sweetheart. We say her name only suits her part of the time – Sassy!

Max

Maximus II was Allie’s first alpaca. He is Mr. Grumpy! He is a multi-National Champion show boy and has traveled with Allie all over the country. You might catch him growling every once in a while, but that’s just Max!

Moonie

Moondancer is one of our two female suri alpacas. Moonie is the farm favorite. She is normally the first one to greet folks when they arrive and stands by our side when we give our educational talks at farm tours.

Rosie

Rosie is the second of our two female alpacas. Rosie is stubborn when it comes to food. She doesn’t like to leave the grass! Nevertheless, she has an angelic personality.

Tajin

Sapeveco’s Tajin is one of the youngest and newest additions to the farm. Tajin is spicy – ironic right? He has that name for a reason, but quite honestly it is the cutest thing on earth. I mean look at that face!!

Pompeii

Sapeveco’s Pompeii is the other newest addition to our farm. He is best buds with Tajin and prefers to do everything with a friend. Pompeii really likes treats and pine needles for a snack.

Gretsky

MSF Gretsky is a new young boy that is still in training. Gretsky is
calm-natured and enjoys eating – all the time!

Sugar High

Rocking Sky Sugar High came from a farm in eastern North Carolina. He
has the softest silky fiber and the cutest little dab of white on his lips among his all black
body – hence the name “Sugar High”!!
